Between young and aged, new and old and accepting one of the many truth of life. Are you one of those people who are so scared of getting old?
The Fountain of Youth
It haunts every being in this world
The fear of getting older and all wrinkled
The fear of being left behind and alone
Will you say that you’ll stay by my side
When I’m too old to be walking still
Too weak to be holding even a frill
Will you still love me?
When my beauty’s gone and I’m nothing
But helpless being
Oh! Will you ever have the answer to all these?
We were young once, so young and free and there will always be times when we’ve only got to give such little effort in order to shine so gallantly - and this statement proves true to each and every one of us. Perhaps that is one reason why most of us had quite a hard time in figuring out how to stand out when we got older. Older women want to keep on having flawless skin and older men want to be as active as they were before, however the cruelest part is that we just can’t go against what nature has in store for all of us.
Why so many people are so afraid of getting old?
The statement above is the main topic of discussion here - Age phobic. When I go around asking people why they’re so afraid of aging, their answers are as simple and as describable in merely few words - old, unwanted and near death. Almost everyone in this world prefer and get all psyched up easily with something that’s new, fresh and when its new, eventually it should be in a very good shape and in tip-top condition, but is it the ‘new and young’ above all, always the best? That is for you to decide because life itself in every aspect is indeed very subjective and perplexing.
In the end, on a personal ground and point of view on this old age issue, people who are so afraid of ascending numbers of candles on their cake should accept aging as a natural wonder. Everything in this world has its pros and cons and should just respect the trade offs. Young age is not only about boost of energy and beauty, it should and forever shall be the foundation to form a much wiser person with preserved charm in the future, when you’ll be much older than you are now.
