It’s that time of the year again, when people busy looking for ideas of what to be and what to wear as well as prospective pranks to do. Yes, it’s the scary and eerie Halloween. It’s time for costume parties, trick-or treating costumes, bonfires, divination, ghost tours, pranks and lots of chocolates, sweets and pumpkins - probably to go together with those scary ghost stories and movies. Nowadays, Halloween means a lot more of fancy dresses and parties rather than anything scary. It is a celebration anticipated by children and adults altogether.

Origin of Halloween Day

Halloween day is a secular celebration dated every year on the 31st October and originated from an ancient Gaelic festival of Samhain and the Christian holy day of All Saints. But in short, you can say it is some sort of like a celebration for the dead, perhaps just like the Chinese customary celebration of ‘Ghost festival’. It was said that at the time of the festival of Samhain, the border between the living world and the world of the dead became thin, allowing spirits both bad and good ones to past through. In order to ward off the bad ones, the people wear mask and costumes.

Love comes in all forms, including friendship. What should best friends do?

Friends come and go, but later, they’ll come again. You’ve just got to admit it, there are times when you need your friends, more than your family. It’s pretty complicated actually but even if the truth hurts or disappoint you, you just have to accept it. There are things you can’t do with your family but you’re able to do so with your friends and vice versa. That’s how things go, that circumscribed friendship. It is rather translucent, in a working life, working hard alone doesn’t pay off as we thought it would. Simple to say, hard work alone doesn’t really push your career development to the desirable level that you wanted it to be. What you need to do is to learn how to work smart at certain point of working life. You should learn to save more time (so naturally you’ll be able to cover more work to be done) and save your energy as well.

Ø      Have a strategy or plan one if you don’t have initially

No one likes to work for more than 8 hours a day. Psychologically too, working for more than 8 hours a day will falter your concentration and reduce the quality of your own productivity - and, this ‘overtime’ work that you have to do is usually due having no pre-planned strategy. This is one simple strategy that you should apply when you are working: which is simply, do what is more important first and less important saved up for later. So you can start by writing down all your targeted tasks to be done and have a priority check list.

What makes a smart woman stupid is by having an affair with a married man. But this is not a new issue to begin with. It’s not entirely a foreign issue for us, really. Women from the olden times, even famous and intelligent ones are fairly involved in extramarital affairs. And it drags on till today. So, it’s rather ironic to call these women stupid because most of those involved in love affairs with married man (and I mean seriously falling in love and not due to some conspiracy or anything) are smart, intelligent and women of high profile in nature. Love is wonderful, but at certain point in life, by taking a simple wrong step can tarnish your life forever.
